Years ago they met in a salsa class while attending University of Central Florida and had their first picnic-date near the fountain in front of the library. In a few short months, they will tie the knot in Miami, then move cross-country to start their new lives in sunny California. Their engagement wouldn’t be complete without Chester who’s a mix pooch in the body of a corgi. We goofed around as if I were a pet photographer and made noises I’ve never made in my life to get Chester’s attention. As it turned out, the magic word wasn’t “treat” or “let’s go”, but “sssquiiirrreelll”. Go figure.

Anyone who loves their dog is a hero in my books.

Kate + Korey : Palm Harbor Wedding

Finally getting a chance to share Kate + Korey’s wedding taken place in the cozy town of Palm Harbor. They married in a little chapel with a beautiful outdoor reception to follow. Splashes of blue, vintage details, fun wedding party, quirky cake-topper, and luscious greenery adorned the day as they celebrated into the evening. Top that off with a classy sparkler exit as they waved good-bye to guests and drove off in a Rolls-Royce!

Christy + Adam : Tampa Bay Watch Wedding

The day was perfect. The setting, the weather, the couple, the family, the friends, all perfect. From the whimsical colors to the chic wedding party, the emotional vows to the warm party guests, I can only sum it all up in one word: Perfect.

Christy is one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever met. As I photographed her all morning, I imagined Adam seeing his bride for the first time. What does it feel like to marry the girl of your dreams? What does it feel like to be the luckiest guy in the room? And as for her… What does it feel like to know that no matter where you fall asleep, he’ll scoop you up and carry you to bed? What does it feel like to giggle and cry at the same time because he makes you the happiest girl in the room?

For Christy + Adam, I Love You means just that. Throughout the evening, their family and friends chatted amongst themselves and the recurring statement was ‘they belong together’. I couldn’t agree more.

The witty Adam sent one of his groomsmen to surprise Christy with a note and locket. Inside the locket, a photo of… wait for it… HIMSELF. Sure made Christy happy for some reason =)

Sometimes, ‘I Love You’ means a superhero cape from your wife on your wedding day.

Stephanie + Matt : Renaissance on 9th Bradenton Wedding

I’m so thrilled to share this classy wedding taken place in my own childhood hometown. Stephanie + Matt got hitched on a gorgeous autumn day under a wooden canopy that her dad built. Their morning was spent in their own suites and everything was unbelievably perfect. It’s an indescribable honor to be in the presence of their closest family and friends who offered nothing but love and support.

I especially want to thank those who scrambled over to make sure I was alright after falling on my butt. Gosh, did anyone catch that on video? Because that’s like, so, uncool. But funny?!

Congratulations Steph + Matt! I can’t say enough thank-yous for the hospitality. I’m beyond words grateful and happy that you belong to each other. With love, always.

Erika : Summertime Boudoir

I don’t even have words to describe how beautiful, incredible, sensational Erika is. When she mentioned she wanted to surprise her husband, Emory with boudoir images for their one year anniversary, I could hardly contain my own excitement. Erika’s BFF, Christine is an amazing friend who flew in from Miami to help with the shoot. Between the three of us, we came up with different ideas to incorporate personal items that are unique to Emory. We kept it simple, raw and classy. I’m grateful to have their permission to share a few shots.

Now I truly understand why Emory is crazy about his wife…

Phuong + Brian : Davis Island Hyde Park Engagement South Tampa

They dated across cities and spent every possible weekend together no matter how busy their lives seemed… and you can imagine how busy a doctor and a lawyer’s life could be. When they finally got engaged, Phuong picked up her bags and moved to Tampa to be with Brian. South Tampa is where their relationship flourished, perfect for their autumn engagement session. We started on the patio of their little teal house as they comfortably tucked into each other’s arms. They’d frequently combust into laughter in open public for unapparent reasons. I love relationships that have no inhibitions, and idiosyncrasies that are celebrated with giggles and inside jokes.

Marissa + Jon : Hollis Garden Lakeland Wedding

How I met Marissa + Jon was an accident, as with most awesome things that happen in life. We met over pumpkin lattes right around this time of last year. A year later they became man and wife under the midday sun at beautiful Hollis Garden. If you got to know them through the lens as I did, there is no doubt in mind that they belong together. Energetic, kind, sweet, and family oriented, they partied the night away to R&B, hip-hop, classics, and booze. Yes, booze hit the dance floor but didn’t detour the craziness. How long does it take to gather 50 people for a sparkler exit? Like, half an hour =P.

Marissa got ready in the hands of her talented BFF hairstylist a few floors away from Jon.

Ca + Tim : Tampa Garden Club Wedding Florida

Ca and Tim plus their entourage travelled from Chicago to celebrate their wedding with family in South Tampa. They started the day getting ready in downtown and wrapped up at the cozy Tampa Garden Club along Bayshore. This wedding revealed dear to my heart in that their family and friends remind me so much of my own. I’m certain that they’re blessed to have each other and be surrounded by down to earth people who they love and confide in.
