Carly + Stephen : Saint Leo Abbey Wedding

The Florida heat returned for a cozy wedding at the Saint Leo Abbey on the campus of Carly + Stephen’s alma mater. Surrounded by her sisters, best friends, and family, an animated Carly got dressed and waited to meet her Stephen. As her sister helped her out of her Converses and into blue peep-toes, she was radiating with anticipation. In a back room at the church, I found a calm Stephen with his groomsmen moments before the ceremony. He had the look of a sweet boy waiting to marry his love. He shyly smiled and assured me that he was ready to see her and announce his I-do. Their ceremony was special in that it not only celebrated their union, but also their roots. Their relationship began because of their compassion for others, and amongst them were loved ones who’ve witnessed their genuine sincerity as individuals and as a couple. I’m incredibly blessed to have met Carly and Stephen in the fateful way that I did, and beyond humbled that they chose me. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Koo-ba-sek! Yes, that’s how I saw it written on the DJ’s notecard!
