Iris + Mark : Hillcrest Golf & Country Club Hollywood Florida Wedding

I met Iris and Mark a few years ago at the tea lounge where I worked when I was an undergrad and they were still living in Tampa. When they got engaged, we video conferenced to catch up and plan their Florida wedding from Colorado. Only recently did I remember that Iris once interviewed me when she was still writing for the university newspaper. It’s incredible how life unfolded in just a few short years, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of their day. After a four and a half hour drive to Hollywood, I arrived to a thoughtful bag of goodies that Iris and Mark put together in welcome of their out-of-town guests. I’m always a little shocked when I’m treated the same as guests only because I can’t believe that in the hustle and bustle of planning a wedding, my couple has gone above and beyond to welcome me personally. That thoughtfulness is a priceless gift I’ll always cherish. Iris and Mark exchanged vows before an emotional crowd of family and close friends. Everywhere I turned there were laughter, smiles, and tears of joy. Love was in the air. Love, that’s what weddings are all about. Not the stunning center pieces or name cards, or even the delicious cake (although the cake comes in pretty close). Just simple and organic love. The day was all about Iris…
