Sarah + Charlie : Hillsborough River Tampa & Dade City Lifestyle Engagement

I met Sarah a few years ago at Audrie and Patrick’s wedding. When Audrie called me a few months ago to share news of her pregnancy, she also shared the news that Sarah’s newly engaged! I was ecstatic that she wanted to meet up over tea and discuss her wedding plans. Charlie, her fiancé is such a sweet guy who treats Sarah like a gem. We originally planned to go canoeing for their engagement session, but the summer Florida weather wasn’t cooperating. We drove through a chasing storm to get to the park only to hear that we couldn’t rent the canoes due to weather hazard. Bummer. Still we were in company of great light post storm and spent a couple hours roaming in the lush outdoors. My favorite part? Crossing the slippery river rapids with my gear in hand! Somehow, having a camera in my hands makes me feel invincible. It’s an amazing feeling. Many thanks to my good friend Dan for helping with this shoot. Lovely photos. I am a bit of a photographer myself though far from professional ( have done forensic photography for years ). In the past year, it’s been fun photographing nicer things for my blog.
