Last week, a good friend of mine invited me to check out a local community radio station he volunteers for here in Tampa.  Over the past few years, I’ve gravitated more and more towards community organization.  I hardly ever give up a chance to volunteer my time, especially when my work can greatly impact a project by providing for it material that can be used to help convey their mission.  I find documentary photography to be particularly effective when it comes to connecting with an audience.  I love this style of photography for its effective communication — its unique ability to illustrate sequentially the journey and its characters from beginning to end.

I grabbed a few test shots to evaluate the lighting and space.  I’m looking forward to meeting more radio personalities, majority of them being volunteers themselves.  While they tell someone else’s story, I want to tell theirs.
